We are now on Summer break and will be back on 22nd September 2026 – get in touch if you’d like to try us out in the new term.

People of Note is one of Bristol’s longest standing community choirs. Run by Natural Voice leader Rosie Sleightholme (who took over in 2022), the choir was set up in 2000 by Nickomo Clarke and Nick Petts, and run by Nickomo and Rasullah from 2009-2020.

Our Natural Voice choir is soul nourishing and enriching, and every voice is welcome. There are no auditions and all songs are taught by ear. We sing songs from all over the world, with some which are slightly more challenging, and others that are simple and easy to pick up. Sometimes we perform (see our youtube channel, and videos below of our April ’26 performance at the SW Community Choirs Convention at St George’s Bristol, our Winter Concert ’25, Spring ’25 gig at Windmill Hill City Farm, and our Summer’25 International Make Music Day gig at St George’s Bristol for an idea of what we sing). We often end a session around some candles singing beautiful harmonies, and always begin with a fun warm up to get us ready for song.  In April ’26 we went away for our first choir residential weekend in Devon, and plan to do this annually (video here). The main aim is for us all to have fun. Have a listen to us singing one of Rosie’s simple, meditative songs here. To find out more about the choir, take a look at our FAQs page.

New members are welcome to come for a free taster at any point during the term (although the earlier the better in terms of learning the songs)email to book. We’d love to welcome you to the choir!
